Engineering ingenuity
At ALR we find inventive Solutions to modify/customize existing Systems to become (more) rugged and to perform even better.
STARTING SITUATION:
When it comes to mobile applications, there are a couple of Suppliers - i.e. GETAC or Panasonic to name a few - offering COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) Computer Systems with some Level of ruggedization.
Although these systems offer some Level of sturdiness, The Problem with these Systems is that they are all built for generic purpose, means: they were designed & built to meet the expectations and requirements of a large number of potential users. And as long as these systems are operated in their limited field of use, means: without customer-specific extensions and/or with their interface-covers/lids closed! Once a customer needs to operate these units differently, they will lose most of their ruggedization features, especially the sealing against water & fluid ingress.

ALR’s Approach for Improvements:
Here comes now ALR’s Experience into play as We modify existing COTS-Hardware to meet the requirements for our customers! We can achieve certification levels military MIL-STD-810H (in terms of resistance to mechanical and thermal environments) and MIL-STD-461G (in terms of compliance with EMC standards) and it can even be certified TEMPEST SDIP- 27 level A, B or C. Depending on the project specifications and the available Space, I/O signals can be available on waterproof miniature Push/Pull format or on D38999 MIL connectors.
We offer a wide variety of customization as
integration of Avionic Databus I/O like ARINC-429 & MIL-STD1553 analyzer
Integration of CAN-Bus I/O, GPS modules etc.
DAta Acquisitioning Systems for Field use
Shock-Mount Docking Stations etc.
